Whats After the Movie presents a chilling story set in the remote, snow-covered mountains of Jotunheimen in 1976. The film begins with the eerie atmosphere surrounding the abandoned Stehøe Mountain Hotel, which is on the brink of bankruptcy due to the recent mysterious and distressing incidents linked to its surroundings. The hotel, operated by Sigrid and Gunnar, is a place shadowed by darkness and secrets. Sigrid’s relationship with her abusive husband Gunnar is tense and tragic; her son, who bears a distinctive large birthmark over his left eye, is subjected to daily torment and cruelty, including being locked away in the hotel’s basement and physically harassed, all while Sigrid witnesses but chooses silence, helpless to intervene.
