In the small Alaskan town of Trapper Falls, Christmas has long been a season of warmth, tradition, and community. Trouble arrives when Mitch Bright Mitch Bright, Dan’s old high school rival and a highly successful big-city lawyer, returns after twenty years with a bitter stance toward the town’s customs. He sees the Nativity scene in front of City Hall as a violation of his rights and pushes to replace the word “Christmas” with “Happy Holidays” on all signs, challenging fifty years of local tradition.

As the conflict escalates, it ceases to be about a single opinion and becomes a town-wide issue when Mitch enters the mayoral race to replace Dan Reed. In the midst of the legal battle, Dan’s wife Kirsten Reed and their daughter Makayla are moved to act, championing a message they believe captures the true spirit of the season.

Together with the community, Kirsten and Makayla launch a bold campaign to remind everyone of what Christmas can mean when it is celebrated with heart and inclusivity. They promote a Christmas with a Capital C approach, urging neighbors to come together, look beyond slogans, and rediscover the shared joy that defines the holiday for the town.
