Krishna [Rahul Banerjee] is a diligent scooter mechanic in Siliguri, and life hums along with a hectic but steady rhythm until Pallavi [Priyanka Sarkar], the daughter of a wealthy local mafia don, fixates on him. Her infatuation soon takes a dangerous turn as she persuades Krishna to escape the clutches of her family, who have their own plans for her future. The film opens with their bold elopement: Pallavi steps out of her house in her school uniform, leaving behind even her wristwatch, as Krishna had insisted they travel light. The pair rush into a shopping mall, where Pallavi hurriedly changes into a boy’s shirt, pants, and cap, discards the uniform, and then boards a bus toward Kolkata.

The story unfolds through interwoven flashbacks and point-of-view moments between Pallavi and Krishna, intercut with scenes of Pallavi’s father and uncle terrorizing the neighborhood and the school in search of the wayward girl. After questioning Pallavi’s friends, the adults learn that Pallavi has run off with Krishna, and Pallavi’s father and his brother grow furious. Krishna, drawn by Pallavi’s charm, yields, and the two lovers head to Kolkata, where help comes from Krishna’s friend Ali [Rudranil Ghosh] and his circle.

In Kolkata, the lovers marry in a rush of impulse and feeling. The wedding and a lavish reception follow as they begin to settle into a life as a married couple, hoping to leave the shadows behind. Pallavi’s uncle, using wit and strategy, tracks them down and, with Ali unaware of the true plan, offers to come back to reconcile with the family. On the road, Krishna grows suspicious of the uncle’s seemingly sympathetic gesture, while Pallavi is torn between loyalty to her family and the life she’s chosen with Krishna.

Tragedy strikes when Pallavi’s father’s goons brutally beat Krishna, shattering him and leaving him brain-damaged and deeply traumatized. Pallavi, trying to safeguard Krishna, agrees to marry another man to save his life, and in the chaos she loses her sense of herself. Krishna tears away with a broken bangle from Pallavi’s hand, and he disappears, leaving Pallavi to cope with the devastation of what their forced separation has cost them.

Years drift by. Pallavi is now married to another man and has a baby, seemingly content on the surface. Then one day, amid the bustle of the streets, she encounters a man who appears utterly altered by hardship and time: Krishna, who now roams the streets with no memory of who she is, his body bearing a carved sign—the name Pallavi—on his chest as a stubborn imprint of the past.

Pallavi’s shock tightens into a profound sorrow as she remembers the love they shared. She tries to coax Krishna back to himself and to her, but his mind cannot recall their bond. Despite her relentless efforts, Krishna does not recognize her, and when the moment comes, he walks away, leaving Pallavi grappling with guilt, regret, and the enduring ache of a love that memory could not redeem. The film leaves us with a haunting meditation on memory, choice, and the cost of a love that cannot be fully remembered.
