Children of the Tsunami (2012): Cast

A year after the devastating 2011 tsunami in Japan, this film explores the experiences of its youngest survivors. The story follows children aged 7 to 10, revealing how the massive wave and subsequent Fukushima nuclear accident profoundly impacted their lives. The narrative is shaped by testimonies from two locations: a primary school tragically losing 74 children and another school serving students evacuated from the nuclear exclusion zone. Concerns about radiation and its potential long-term effects weigh heavily on families and children still living in Fukushima, leading to restrictions on daily activities and routines.
