Richard, a fifteen-year-old with learning difficulties, dreams of stability, but his unpredictable and troubled brother, Polly, constantly pushes them to move. Their precarious life is further complicated when the land they inhabit is sold, leading to a cut in electricity and worsening living conditions. A chance encounter with Annabel, the landowner’s teenage daughter, sparks a connection for Richard, while Polly finds companionship with a group associated with a traveling fair. As Polly’s behavior escalates and family secrets emerge, Richard is forced to confront challenging choices between loyalty to his brother and his burgeoning friendship with Annabel.
