In the opening sequence, a pregnant woman is chased through a sugarcane field and forced to cut her own womb. The film then shifts to the city, where Sakshi [Nushrratt Bharuccha] works for a non-governmental organization and shares a life with her husband, Hemant [Saurabh Goyal]. When Hemant is beaten and threatened after failing to repay a loan for a business plan, the couple flees to Hemant’s driver’s village, hiding for a few days.

Upon arriving, they meet Devi, a stern, orthodox woman who holds the village to a strict code. Hemant leaves to seek a solution to their financial troubles, while Sakshi gradually forms a connection with Devi. During this time, Sakshi meets Rani, Devi’s daughter-in-law and the woman who was chased in the opening scene. Devi explains that Rani lost her child before birth, and to save her life, her womb was cut. This revelation adds a layer of the village’s brutal, inherited customs to Sakshi’s growing concern.

As Sakshi grows curious about the three children who tease her, Devi warns her to stay away, but Sakshi does not heed the admonition. Tensions rise between them when Devi becomes frustrated by Sakshi’s defiance, leading to a sharp rift in their fragile bond. After several days, Hemant returns, and Sakshi pleads with him to take her away, driven by panic and fear.

That night, as they attempt to leave, Devi and her husband attack them and perform a ritual on Sakshi. Devi confines Sakshi to her room and binds her to the bed, explaining that she must endure three days there to confront the malevolent presence of Sunaini—the sister-in-law whose haunting curse extends over Devi’s family. Sunaini, who once was pregnant, killed Devi’s three young boys and then herself by cutting her womb to guarantee a good harvest. The ritual is meant to purge Sunaini’s ghost, but Sakshi is warned that all visions she will encounter over the next three days will be illusions.

Sakshi’s attempts to escape are thwarted. Through flashbacks and apparitions, it becomes clear that Sunaini’s tragedy stemmed from a family-driven demand to kill the fetus because it was female. When Sunaini refused, she was accused of murder and burned alive by Devi’s in-laws. In the chaos, her baby was thrown into a well, and Sunaini leaped in to save her daughter. Sunaini’s three sons had followed in a bid to rescue her, and all of them died, becoming spirits who now guard the well and the harvest.

During this trial, Sakshi endures a harrowing sequence that channels Sunaini’s past—and the cost of silencing female lives. The ghostly ordeal resolves only when Sakshi vows to tell the world about Sunaini’s suffering if the spirit spares her from repeating the same torment on the new wives. After three days, morning arrives and Devi, the driver, and Hemant confront Sakshi. She refuses to leave until she can tell the world the full truth.

The truth about Hemant is finally revealed: he is Rajbir, a man who killed his two previous wives to keep their secrets safe. He spared Rani because she swore to stay silent. When Rajbir attempts to strike Sakshi from behind, Rani intervenes and kills him, along with Devi and Kajla [Rajesh Jais]. With danger resolved, Sakshi escapes the confines of the village house and walks toward the sugarcane field, guided by the three ghost children who once haunted her. She is joined by Rani as they emerge into the fields, stepping into a new dawn free from the village’s dark legacy.
