Checking the King (1972): Cast

Two men face each other at a chessboard. One is a country boy who discovered a talent for chess; the other is a former lawyer who hasn't played in twenty years. He recounts his WWII experience: arrested without cause, he stole an officer’s “Chess Review,” taught himself the game, and playing against himself led to a nervous breakdown.
