Abir [Dev] starts college and soon crosses paths with Pooja [Subhashree Ganguly], the daughter of a ruthless, fiercely protective businessman. Pooja’s father, Rajatabha Dutta (Agnidev Sen), rules his world with a stern, conservative hand and makes it clear that any approach toward his daughter is subject to his scrutiny and wrath. The moment Abir stands up to bullies who harass him, he earns a different kind of respect: he fights back, and his courage is noticed. After a tense confrontation with the students, he also faces off against the men working for Pooja’s father, making them apologise for their misbehavior before the drama of their budding romance even begins.
Pooja is captivated by Abir’s boldness, and what starts as a wary but shared glimmer of interest blossoms into a tender, undeniable romance. The couple’s happiness, however, faces a stern barrier: Pooja’s father vehemently opposes their union, convinced that his daughter’s life should follow a strict, protected path. The story unfolds as Abir and Pooja navigate a web of obstacles, hoping to prove that their bond can withstand the pressure of family expectations and social restraint.
In a pivotal flashback, it’s revealed that one of Abir’s classmates had spoken to Pooja, an act seen by Kartik Da, one of her father’s henchmen. In a brutal display of punishment, Kartik Da blinds himself, claiming that merely looking at Agnidev Sen’s daughter is a crime. This revelation becomes a catalyst for Abir’s urgent, desperate plan: he disguises himself to capture Kartik Da and forces him to donate his eyes to the classmate who had spoken to Pooja. The act sparks Agnidev’s fury, and he orders his henchmen to level threats against Abir and his family, hoping to deter the couple’s relationship.
Abir’s father, Biswajit Chakraborty, who had long frowned upon his son’s casual, headstrong nature, unexpectedly steps in with unwavering support. He tells Abir that if love is real, he must pursue it fearlessly, even in the face of danger. The family’s home becomes a flashpoint as Agnidev leaves Pooja at the father-in-law’s house but refuses to budge himself, revealing that he once eloped and married Pooja’s mother—an act that makes the father-in-law vow to defend his bloodline if Agnidev returns. Abir, never deterred, makes the journey to persuade Pooja’s grandfather and secure the alliance they crave.
Agnidev attempts to sabotage the marriage, but the comedy of errors and the stubborn determination of Abir and Pooja keep pushing the plan forward. Abir steps forward to declare to Agnidev that he is now his future son-in-law and that nothing will begin without his blessing. The tension crescendos as the mastermind behind many of the couple’s trials is revealed: Kartik Da, the very man who feigned blindness and used to relay information from Agnidev about Pooja’s whereabouts to Abir. Kartik Da explains that his eyes were returned by the same classmate’s father who had died, and Abir had organized the donation—an act that strips away Kartik Da’s anger and exposes the human cost of their conflict.
This confrontation forces Kartik Da to confront the consequences of his deeds and he pledges to make amends, vowing to repay his sins. With the truth out in the open and forgiveness in the air, Agnidev finally recognizes his own mistakes and grants his blessing, accepting Abir as his son-in-law. The film closes on a hopeful note, with a scene of family warmth as Agnidev is seen playing with his grandchildren after the credits roll, signaling a future built on reconciliation, courage, and enduring love.
