What Is Cast About?
The premise of Cast without spoilers.
Cast creates a claustrophobic, haunting space where people and objects intrude on worlds they don’t belong to. Lifeless dolls pile in drawers, life‑size figures lie motionless on a windy beach, a chair rocks in an empty room, a mirror watches, and a chest of drawers is lapped by sea. Though it hints at narrative, its dream‑like structure collapses scenic spaces, swapping animate and inanimate. Wide‑angle shots, shifting viewpoints and juxtapositions of sound and silence make inner and outer realities collide, producing an unsettling psychic world.
