The story centers on the metaphorical meaning of the Cassiopeia constellation, which serves as a guide to finding the North Star. In this narrative, family is portrayed similarly—not by providing a direct map for life, but by acting as a silent protector and a source of support when one has lost their way.
Su-jin (Seo Hyun-jin) is a highly successful lawyer who seemingly has a perfect life as both a professional and a mother following her divorce. She is focused on the future of her daughter, Gina (Joo Ye-rim), who is preparing to study in the United States. Supporting the household is Su-jin’s father, In-woo (Ahn Sung-ki), who lives with them and helps care for his granddaughter.
