In Okinawa, a bold but reckless theft pulls Junpei, a low‑level yakuza of the Soryu Group, into a web of danger that only deepens after a brutal turn of events. As he makes off with 500 million yen on the way to a heroin deal, a police raid crashes the plan and lands him in prison for five years. The years behind bars don’t dampen his resolve, and upon release he hatches a risky scheme to reclaim the loot, locate his girlfriend Yoko, and vanish for good. To pull it off, he hires an almost legendary bodyguard, Kiba of the Kaito Karate dojo, offering five million yen to escort him.

The journey begins with a perilous escape plan, but fate keeps throwing obstacles in their path. Outside the prison, an ambush erupts, and Kiba’s skill proves decisive as he fights off the attackers. Junpei grabs one of their guns, a desperate attempt to secure an edge, but the plan to fly out of the country collapses when they cannot board a plane. Forced to return to Okinawa by boat, they press onward through rough seas and rougher enemies. On the vessel, a fresh onslaught arrives—Okinawan karateka hired by Shinjo, Junpei’s former boss. A tense stand-off follows as Junpei reaches for the gun again, only to have Kiba strip him of his weapon and demonstrate the bare‑knuckle power of disciplined karate. The attackers are repelled, and Junpei, realizing the gun is lost to the ocean, lets it go as they land back in Okinawa.

Shinjo ramps up the pressure by slipping a false, mocking quote about Okinawa Karate into the newspapers, provoking the local karate world to issue a formal challenge to Kiba. On Kiba’s behalf, Tetsugen Daito—head of the rival Daito Karate school—accepts the challenge and defeats the intruders in a display of skill that leaves the rest of Shinjo’s crews undeterred. Yet the pursuit of Yoko continues, and the danger escalates as more forces close in on them, raiding and ambushing as they search for the missing loot and the woman who has become a liability.

The pursuit grows even messier when the trio discovers that Yoko has fallen under Shinjo’s influence and has become entangled with heroin. She is used as a pawn in Shinjo’s scheme, her kidnapping faked at times and her cooperation bought through coercion. Maki, Tetsugen Daito’s assistant, is caught in the crossfire as the Soryu Group drags both women closer to their goals. Shinjo calls Junpei with a chilling demand: return the 500 million yen in exchange for both women. In a showdown of wits and grit, Junpei retrieves the money from a stash hidden inside his old boxing gym, a location steeped in his past and the plan that nearly ruined him.

A key lead comes from inside the Okinawa Karate world. An Okinawa police officer—also a member of the local karate association—tells the trio that Maki is being held at Club Satine and reveals that Yoko has become Shinjo’s mole. With this information, they stage a careful, clandestine raid into the club. They free Maki, who then helps them turn the tide as they confront the remaining members of the Soryu Group at Shinjo’s hideout. The rescue completes a crucial arc, as Maki’s courage and resourcefulness help the group survive the onslaught.

In the climactic rooftop confrontation, Junpei and Kiba square off against Shinjo and Yoko. A reversal of loyalties comes into sharp relief as Shinjo pressures Yoko to gun down Junpei. Instead, Yoko shoots herself in the heart, a tragic act that also claims Shinjo as he falls behind her. The loss is heavy, but Junpei can finally turn toward a new future, boarding a path to Tokyo and promising to settle Kiba’s fee on arrival. The victory is tempered by sorrow, and the Okinawa Karate world closes the door with a final test: a local karate official challenges Kiba for the honor of Okinawa Karate, only to be defeated in a moving testament to the school’s enduring discipline and resolve.
