In a sweeping, centuries-spanning adventure, a legendary ruby carries a dual fate: the power to heal and the power to curse, sealed by the spilled blood of Princess Lafla in 12th Century India. As the centuries unfold, the gem’s fate twists from royal mystique to imperial heist, and into the hands of modern-day treasure seekers who will stop at nothing to possess it.

In the bustling present, a small-time crook named Paul Lorre, Jack Kehler, steals the stone back only to find the weight of the world on his shoulders. He schemes to move the priceless gem to an international fence, Ludwig Van Hoeven, and in the process, realizes the authorities are closing in. The gem is slipped away into the baggage of two unsuspecting travelers, Sandy, Brett Stimely, and Stephanie McVey, Anna Nicholas, turning an ordinary delivery into a deadly game of cat and mouse. The plan is set in motion as Lorre manages to signal the taxi driver Shyam Sabu, Rajinikanth, to Van Hoeven’s enforcers, hoping the threat will slip past the law and land the ruby in the right hands.

Sabu quickly senses danger—he knows he’s being followed—but the immediate danger isn’t just pursuit. In a tense sequence that fuses chase and sacrifice, the ruby slips away into a crevice inside his trunk as he drops Sandy and Stephanie at their hotel. What follows is a string of high-stakes clashes: Sandy battles two thieves who storm his room in a brutal confrontation, while Sabu engages in a perilous car chase and a blistering shootout that tests nerve and skill to the limit. The danger doesn’t end there; Stephanie is kidnapped by Van Hoeven’s thugs, and the stakes rise as the mastermind behind the operation presses for a high-stakes exchange.

Van Hoeven makes contact with Sandy and proposes a grim bargain: retrieve the gem at the waterfalls on the road to Bangalore in exchange for Stephanie’s life. With the ruby suddenly out of reach, Sandy considers turning to the police, but Sabu reveals the stone, igniting a vicious, mutual confrontation. The two men, evenly matched in cunning and resolve, strike a second, tentative agreement—the ruby is his to barter for Stephanie’s life, even as the clock ticks down and suspicions mount. The plan is complicated by Sabu’s decision to rally Indian allies, knowing their help may be essential to outmaneuver a foe who won’t hesitate to unleash violence.

Meanwhile, Inspector Ramesh, Charlie Brill, struggles to keep up with the frenetic pace of events, his competence constantly tested as chaos closes in from every direction. Ambushes erupt as Sandy and Sabu make their way out of the rain forests, yet they endure the gunfire, managing to capture two of Van Hoeven’s men and uncover a hidden secret passage. Their daring escape is threaded with near-misses and narrow escapes as they fight to survive and keep Misba from sabotaging their chances as they scale toward the treacherous waterfalls.

Van Hoeven hosts a lavish, festive party that belies the danger brewing beneath the surface. Sandy and Sabu infiltrate the palace with a plan that hinges on timing and courage, prepared for anything that might go wrong. But the moment arrives when the ruby is revealed to be a fake, turning their mission into a desperate gamble for survival. With execution looming, Sabu’s friends mount a bold assault, and a bloody mêlée erupts as the fortress becomes a battlefield. In the chaos, Sandy, Stephanie, and Sabu push forward, moving through the corridors and opening fire as Ramesh’s men close in.

Escaping through the siege, the trio threads a narrow path to safety, slipping through the gunfire and vanishing into the night. The climactic pursuit continues as Van Hoeven, and Misba face arrest and the heroes emerge battered but triumphant—only to learn that the Bloodstone is still missing. The tale closes on a note of unresolved tension, where the ancient ruby’s true fate remains elusive and the quest for its power—and its redemption—continues.
