In 1913, two wealthy Black farmers, Thomas Griffin, David Jite and Meeks Griffin, are framed for a murder they did not commit by the true killers who want their land. The plan succeeds, and the property is divided between the conspirators, setting a generations-long feud in motion.
Approximately a century later, CJ Ramage, Terry Milam and Roger Nebold, Jonathan Fuller, descendants of the original killers, aim to sell the land for a substantial sum. They discover they must obtain the blessing of a third heir named Lyndsay, who travels to Blackstock, South Carolina with her friends to sign the deal. There, Lyndsay, Ashley Whelan is drawn to Jesse, Aspen Kennedy Wilson, a descendant of the Griffin brothers, who warns her that CJ and Roger cannot be trusted, but she still pursues the sale.
Unbeknownst to Lyndsay and her companions, the Griffin brothers rise from the grave to seek vengeance against anyone who profits from the stolen land. They begin killing attendees at the business meeting until only CJ and Lyndsay are left. The Griffins corner Lyndsay, but she is saved by Jesse, who tells her of her bloody heritage. The two realize that the Griffins will spare Lyndsay if she removes her name from the business plan and works to obtain the necessary papers.
Just as she is about to remove her name, CJ arrives and wounds Jesse. Angry, Lyndsay shoots CJ and destroys the papers by shooting him through the head while the Griffins watch, after which she sobs over Jesse’s unconscious form.
The film ends with Lyndsay and Jesse becoming a couple and choosing to live on the property together.
