Burned‑out Hollywood screenwriter Bo Aikens (Jay Mohr) leaves Los Angeles for the tranquil Black River in Northern California, seeking peace and inspiration. The welcoming, idyllic town soon feels uneasy as odd incidents unfold. Bo discovers his money has been transferred to a local account and a house bought in his name under mysterious instructions.
