Spoilers ahead
Against the turbulent backdrop of 1994 caste-based violence and intense district rivalries in rural Tamil Nadu, Kittan Velusamy fights to chase a dream bigger than the limits of his birth. From a community that faces social oppression, he nurtures a fierce passion for kabaddi, a sport that offers him both a path to dignity and a battleground where his talent can be seen. The pressures of caste prejudice, the crushing grip of powerful landlords who dominate village life, and familial expectations push him to the edge, yet his heart stays set on one clear goal: to represent India at the 1994 Asian Games.
