Funky Simon Yam leads a tense escape with his allies, alongside Calf Andy On Chi-Kit, Hung Ken Lo Wai-Kwong, and Kong Xiong Xinxin, as well as the gang’s enforcer known as Andy Lok, fleeing PAP officers somewhere in China. The crew fights their way free from the guards, but the chaotic pursuit forces a separation: Funky and the gang boss Andy Lok try to secure something invaluable for Lok’s company while the others press on with their own plan. The reunion moment comes only when the group meets an elderly ally named Zen Michael Chan Wai-Man who, in turn, signals that Funky and Lok are still trying to catch up.
Sometime later, Audrey Lok Bernice Liu sits in silence at a public execution, watching as one man after another dies at the hands of PAP officers. When her brother is executed, her grief gives way to resolve, and she turns to legal proceedings and a will that will set the terms for what happens next. Audrey’s interactions with Peter Wong Lam Suet reveal the family’s fragile balance of wealth and power, and the estate becomes a prize to be claimed by those who survive the terrorist-like machinations of the triad world.
As Audrey returns home to settle her brother’s will, it becomes clear that many of his coworkers are more interested in wealth and power than in honor or loyalty. A hidden conspiracy begins to surface, and murder becomes a tool to secure the throne. In this world of shifting alliances, Audrey discovers a new sense of purpose and quickly evolves into a formidable fighter, determined to seize leadership for herself. She uses Calf as an instrument to take down rival Triad members, and Calf performs several eliminations at her direction, until he is betrayed and killed in cold blood by Audrey once she no longer needs him.
Audrey’s drive for absolute control grows more dangerous as she eliminates remaining rivals and moves to consolidate her grip on the gang. Her ascendancy, however, is marked by ruthless violence that spills over into her own family, as she brutalizes anyone who stands in her way, even if they are kin. As the will reveals a sibling intent that could have spared the family from bloodshed—urging the children to leave Hong Kong for a better life—the motivation behind Audrey’s cruelty becomes a stark study in greed overpowering loyalty, with no one safe from her calculated moves.
The will’s revelations also show that the true leadership would belong to the coworkers rather than the family, a fact Audrey chooses to ignore in her pursuit of supremacy. The escalating tension culminates in a dramatic confrontation between Audrey and Dumby [Jiang Luxia], a student of Calf who has grown wary of Audrey’s methods. The duel begins with Audrey gaining the upper hand and delivering brutal blows, but Dumby fights back with grit and ingenuity, ultimately pinning Audrey and forcing a desperate move.
Dumby’s gambit involves a live hand grenade, a desperate last resort that shifts the balance of power in a single, brutal moment. Audrey’s bodyguards rush to intervene, but they are overwhelmed by the explosion that follows. The grenade claim’s Audrey’s life in a gruesome finale, leaving the remaining guards lifeless and ending Audrey’s reign as a cold, sociopathic gang leader.
Throughout the story, the film tours a web of loyalties and betrayals that tests every character’s resolve. The criminal underworld is shown as a place where survival often means choosing a side and paying a steep price. The fallout from the will and Audrey’s rise—paired with the ultimate sacrifice and the violent reckoning—offers a stark portrait of ambition, vengeance, and the cost of power within a tightly wound triad saga.
The climactic sequences pull together the film’s threads: the betrayal, the final showdown, and the explosive conclusion that reshapes the surviving players’ fates. In the end, the story remains a meditation on greed, loyalty, and the consequences that accompany unchecked ambition, with the fate of multiple players sealed by a single act of explosive justice.
