Ramu, an NRI living in Malaysia, returns to India after hearing about the Uttarakhand floods and soon faces a personal shock: he discovers his parents lying in the hospital mortuary, and a wave of sadness washes over him. The story then shifts to a haunted family home where the ghosts of Deepa, Taapsee Pannu, Vijayachander, and Raghu Karumanchi linger, waiting for Vijayachander’s wife to come home. They don’t know exactly how or when they died, and their ethereal presence colors every corner of the house.

A would‑be tenancy brings a living family to the house, but the eerie atmosphere sends them running. The broker who handles the deal is startled when he spots Taapsee’s ghost and quickly informs the house owner, Ramu, and his cop friend, Vamshi, about the supernatural stir. Vamshi grows wary, while Ramu dismisses the tale as a tall tale. Yet the rumor of a haunting lingers, and the two men hatch a plan with Yadagiri to coerce Ramu into selling the house cheap by peddling the ghost story for quick profit, with the ultimate goal of demolishing the property to build a lucrative hotel.

Sidhu overhears this shady scheme and makes a deal: he will send his three friends to stay one night in the house, and if they survive the night, Ramu will pay Sidhu 20 percent of the sale price as commission. The gamble backfires on the first night when Sidhu’s trio confronts the ghosts—one is locked in a bathroom, another is knocked unconscious, and the third is driven away in fear. Believing the legends, Ramu begins to tilt toward selling, thinking the haunting is real and profitable, but Sidhu presses for one last chance to prove the place isn’t haunted.

Meanwhile, Sidhu and his friends—Babu, Tulasi, and Raju—each arrive at the hospital for their own desperate needs. Babu, who lives for cinema, acts out scenes from films as if he’s in a real script; Tulasi, a heavy drinker who tests his luck after nine o’clock at night, has sacrificed money for his son’s cardiac surgery; and Raju, who is deaf and night‑blind, relies on his flute to calm his fears, even as he becomes entangled in a robbery case after a CCTV catch‑up reveals him dozing during ATM guards’ duties. The security agency that hired him pressures him to repay the money to avoid being banned, adding one more layer of urgency to their fragile plans.

As the four friends settle into the house, the resident ghosts initially try to scare them away, but the friends’ peculiar habits keep them unfazed. Babu’s theatrical antics, Tulasi’s late‑night drinking, and Raju’s calm flute‑driven composure blunt the spectral threats. The spirits realize they’re not dealing with easily scared tenants. After the first day, Ramu asks Sidhu if there really are ghosts, and, at Sidhu’s urging, gives him two more days to swing a deal. Vamshi disapproves of the intrusive trio in the house and even enlists fake ghosts to frighten them, but the real ghosts prove more convincing than any impostors.

On the second night, Sidhu and his friends maintain their composure and manage to turn the tables on the specters. But on the third night, the已经 ghosts turn the tables again and seem ready to strike. The turning point arrives when Sidhu’s mother enters the house, drawn by the search for her son—she is none other than Vijayachander’s wife.

A past‑revealing flashback explains the tragedy: Ramu, pursuing a job opportunity in Malaysia, leaves his homeland, and the couple adopts Deepa and Taapsee. When Ramu returns and suffers a financial setback, he wants to sell the house to cover his debts. Vijayachander refuses, and in a fit of rage, Ramu assaults and kills his entire family except his mother, who witnesses the atrocity. In the present, Vamshi uncovers the truth of Ramu’s crime, but Yadagiri murders Vamshi. The ghosts finally enact their revenge, killing Ramu, Yadagiri, and Yadagiri’s goons, vindicating the long‑silent spirits.

With the danger gone, Sidhu and his friends decide to leave the haunted home. They discover a bag of cash in Ramu’s car and choose to repurpose the house as a retirement home. The property becomes a place of solace for Taapsee’s mother, who has recovered from amnesia, and other elderly pensioners abandoned by their families. The film closes on a note of quiet, hopeful continuity: a once‑haunted house transformed into a haven for those who have outlived their kin, a testament to both forgiveness and newfound family among unlikely companions.
