Set in 1947, this is the story of Margalit, a resident of Nahalal, and Eli Ben-Zvi, whose parents were Rachel Yanait and Yitzhak Ben-Zvi, Israel’s second president. Their initial meeting sparks an immediate connection, but their budding romance faces challenges due to the escalating tensions between Israeli settlements and neighboring Arab tribes. Eli is dedicated to the defense preparations leading up to the Arab-Israeli War of 1948 and the eventual founding of the State of Israel, complicating their plans for a future together.
