In a turn of mercy and gratitude, Akash’s mother invites Aditya to their home, thanking him for the peaceful end of Akash’s struggle and urging them to marry, suggesting that only Aditya could love Esha in the way she deserves. The couple eventually does marry, and they welcome a daughter, Arushi, into their lives. Yet happiness is tempered by tragedy: a car accident soon after leaves Arushi with a brain condition that causes her to fixate on the idea that Akash is still alive.
