Raghu Soham Chakraborty is presented as a bright, dutiful student whose life spirals after a devastating family tragedy. His father, distraught upon discovering that Raghu’s mother has been unfaithful with their home tutor, chooses a ruthless path of revenge. The fallout is brutal: Raghu’s house is set on fire, his mother and the tutor are killed, and he ends up in a juvenile home. The incident shatters his world and sets him on a perilous course.

Upon his release, Raghu travels to Kolkata to forge a new start, where he encounters Saleem, a medical student who appears to offer a chance at belonging and normalcy. The two form a bond as Raghu searches for a way to rebuild his life. Tragically, Saleem dies in a bus accident, leaving Raghu with a troubling opportunity. He decides to impersonate Saleem, taking his place to join a medical college where he can hide his past and secure a new future.

Inside the college, Raghu befriends two fellow students, Suresh and Ashok, and crosses paths with Ashok’s girlfriend, Riya, whose charm and education captivate him. Raghu’s infatuation with Riya grows as he navigates the complexities of his double life. Yet the danger of his deception lingers, and the truth edges closer to revelation.

The tension peaks when the juvenile home warden unexpectedly recognizes Raghu and unveils his real identity, shattering the veil he has maintained. This confrontation triggers a violent, cascading set of consequences: Raghu ends up in a fierce clash with Ashok, during which he accidentally kills his roommate. With no true option left, Raghu conceals Ashok’s body, burying it away from prying eyes and safe from discovery.

From here, the narrative widens into a prolonged struggle. Raghu becomes trapped in a careful choreography of lies, fear, and evasion as he works tirelessly to keep the truth from surfacing. The story follows his relentless attempts to stay a step ahead of those who might uncover his disguise, all while the weight of his past—his father’s murder, the fires, the lost friendship, and the person he has become—presses down on him.
