A young Paiwan man named Alifu works as a hairdresser in Taipei, grappling with a significant personal decision: pursuing a sex change operation or embracing his father’s wish for him to inherit the title of Chief of their indigenous tribe. His life intertwines with several others, including his lesbian roommate and best friend, Pei-Zhen, Sherry, a transgender man who owns a drag queen bar and harbors a long-held affection for a plumber, and Chris, a civil servant finding solace in a secret life as a drag queen. Each character navigates their own search for love, acceptance, and understanding within a diverse landscape of genders and sexualities.
