What Is A Favour About?
The premise of A Favour without spoilers.
Mistress Hen juggles endless chores—feeding chickens, taking them to kindergarten, cleaning, ironing, and cooking dinner—only to discover she has no salt. She asks neighbor Goose for some, but he demands a favour in return. That simple request spirals into a chain of reciprocal favours that must be fulfilled before she can obtain the salt. The animated short satirically reflects the pervasive barter and corruption of late‑Stagnation Soviet society.
