Esthappan, Siddique, a DYSP, marries Nancy Sarayu Mohan from a wealthy family without his in‑laws’ blessing, and he is assigned to unravel the mystery of a skeleton unearthed at the ancient Ananthapuram Palace. The case is thick with political weight and old loyalties, pulling Esthappan between his duty and the fragile thread of his personal life. As the investigation deepens, Nancy’s close ties to the palace add a personal stake to the pursuit, and the line between justice and vengeance begins to blur.
Pavithran, Biju Menon, a thief by trade, insists he knows the identity of the murderer. He sees the palace-adjacent location of Nancy’s house as a doorway to reconnect with the family and to clear his own name, so he proposes a joint effort with Esthappan to pin down the truth. What follows is a tense alliance built on mutual need: Pavithran’s street-smart instincts and Esthappan’s lawful authority, each wary of the other, yet driven by a stubborn desire to uncover the killer.
Flashbacks reveal a tangled past. Neelima, a banker, is Pavithran’s wife, and Anirudhan, Pavithran’s childhood friend, along with Suryanarayanan, a wealthy builder who is related to Anirudhan, push him toward a catering venture that promises rapid profit. The venture requires substantial capital, and the three men invest heavily, with Pavithran mortgaging his land and home to raise funds. A missing ₹30 lakhs becomes the pressure point that reveals how far each man is willing to go. Neelima, six months pregnant, places fake gold at the bank and hands over the ₹30 lakhs to her husband and Anirudhan, assuring they will return it within a week. Instead, the two friends betray Pavithran and vanish, leaving Neelima overwhelmed by shame and despair, ultimately taking her own life.
Back in the present, Pavithran gathers the resolve to seek justice for Neelima. When he confronts Anirudhan, the encounter spirals into a violent struggle. Anirudhan attempts to kill Pavithran with a rebar, but ends up dead himself in the clash. Pavithran hides Anirudhan’s body inside the palace, aided by Kallan Ramu, Suraj Venjaramoodu, who was a witness to the murder. The recovered skeleton from Ananthapuram Palace is revealed to be Anirudhan’s, tying the past deceit directly to the haunting mystery at the palace. In a final, brutal turn, Pavithran eliminates Suryanarayanan and then surrenders to Esthappan, bringing the long-simmering case to a grave, morally complex close.
