Arya, a simple modern girl, is a big fan of singer Prem. Faced with the constant grind of fame, Prem longs for a life away from the spotlight and the workload that comes with being a star. With a trusted friend, Hari, he sheds the public persona and becomes Ghanshyam Maharjan, a regular man who can walk through life without the glare of stardom.

As Ghanshyam, Prem meets Arya at a public event and, through a series of casual, genuine interactions, he finds himself drawn to her. Their encounters grow into something deeper, and Prem decides to disclose his true identity, hoping to share his feelings openly. He reveals both his stage name and his new, ordinary persona, hoping that honesty might bring them closer.

Arya’s response is not what Prem hopes for. She rejects the proposal, citing that she was playing along with a bet she had made with a friend. The moment shatters Prem, who interprets the rejection as a sign that Arya only spent time with him to win the bet, not to fall in love with the man behind the music.

Meanwhile, Prem’s career advisor, Supreme, is strict and wary of any romantic entanglement between a star and a fan. His disapproval seems to vindicate Prem’s feelings of betrayal when the bond fizzles, reinforcing the distance between Prem’s two worlds.

A turning point arrives when Prem learns a painful truth: Arya is suffering from cancer and is dying. In her final moments, Arya tells Prem that they shared a unique bond, and she makes a poignant promise to “come for” him in the next life.

The story then threads through Prem’s public memory of these events.
