Mazie lets her guest Nellie wear a gold necklace. While Nellie naps in a hammock, her sweetheart Sam arrives in his automobile and wakes her with a kiss. As she sits up, the necklace falls into the grass and they cannot locate it. Sam vows to replace it, assuming it belongs to Nellie, and asks her to describe it in detail so he can have an exact copy made. Meanwhile, the governess finds the lost necklace and returns it to its rightful owner, Mazie, whom Sam does not recognize. Spotting the necklace on Mazie’s neck, Sam gives chase and insists on buying it from her.
