So Ji-sub stars as Ji Hyeong-do, one of the most skilled assassins inside a metal fabrication company that quietly doubles as a front for an underground killing operation. He moves through each job with a cold efficiency, navigating a world where loyalty is transactional and danger is constant, yet even the sharpest blade cannot easily cut through the pull of humanity.

One day, Ji Hyeong-do is ordered to eliminate his young partner, Ra Hoon. Kim Dong-jun plays Ra Hoon, a man who asks for one final favor before his death: to ensure his family will be provided for. This request plants a seed of personal conflict in Ji Hyeong-do, forcing him to weigh his duty against a growing sense of responsibility to the people Ra Hoon leaves behind.

During a visit to Ra Hoon’s home, Ji Hyeong-do meets Yu Mi-yeon, Ra Hoon’s mother and a former singer, a meeting that awakens unexpected emotions. Lee Mi-yeon brings the character to life as Mi-yeon, and Ji Hyeong-do finds himself drawn to her warmth and vulnerability, a connection that complicates his rigid code of conduct and his future plans.

Meanwhile, a colleague who has become disillusioned with the line of work—especially after his son’s death—expresses a desire to quit, and Ji Hyeong-do is assigned to finish him. Yet the bond forming between Ji Hyeong-do and Mi-yeon grows stronger, blurring the lines between a loyal operative and a person who longs for something beyond the company’s ruthless machinery.

The boss holds Ji Hyeong-do in high regard, but his direct superior, Kwon Jong-tae, harbors serious concerns and opposition. Kwak Do-won embodies Kwon Jong-tae, a man who pushes back against Ji Hyeong-do’s loosening grip on the organization and the possibility of a life outside it. This tension heightens the pressure on Ji Hyeong-do as his personal ties pull him further from his former path.

Learning of the mounting risk, Ji Hyeong-do and Mi-yeon attempt to flee and start a new life in safer surroundings. But their escape is dashed when Kwon and his colleagues close in, forcing a brutal confrontation. Mi-yeon is killed in front of Ji Hyeong-do, and he is wounded, yet he survives and makes his way back to his office with a vow to finish those who betrayed him. A tense shootout follows, and Ji Hyeong-do turns the tide on the killers and on Kwon Jong-tae, bringing the violent pursuit to a brutal peak.

As the police close in and surround the building, Ji Hyeong-do hands himself over, choosing to surrender rather than continue a life defined by bloodshed. The film closes on a somber note, underscoring the heavy cost of loyalty when love and duty collide in a world where survival often depends on that same loyalty.
