Zach Galifianakis

Zachary Knight Galifianakis is an American comedian and actor, widely recognized for his iconic role as Alan in The Hangover trilogy (2009–2013). He took to television, starring in the acclaimed FX series Baskets (2016–2019), a performance that earned him a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series in 2017. Galifianakis also pioneered the Funny or Die talk show Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis (2008–2018). His filmography boasts remarkable works such as Due Date (2010), It's Kind of a Funny Story (2010), The Campaign (2012), and Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014). Born in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, on October 1, 1969, to community arts center director Mary Frances and heating oil vendor Harry Galifianakis, Zach has carved a significant niche for himself in the entertainment industry. His early life saw him attend Wilkes Central High School, Wilkes Community College and subsequently North Carolina State University, where he majored in communications. Galifianakis's career began with Boston Common before moving onto Saturday Night Live. However, his ultimate breakthrough came with The Hangover, leading to his surge in popularity. In his personal life, Galifianakis married Canadian charity worker Quinn Lundberg and has two sons with her.
