Yui Natsukawa

Born on June 1, 1968 in Yatsushiro, Kumamoto, Japan, Yui Natsukawa entered the world under the name Miki Miyagawa. From an early age she displayed a fascination with performing arts, frequently participating in school plays and local theater groups, which laid the groundwork for a professional career. After completing her secondary education, she moved to Tokyo to pursue acting training, and in 1987 she secured her first on‑screen role, marking the beginning of a prolific journey that would span decades. Her early work included supporting parts in television dramas such as Taniguchi Rokuzo Shoten (1993) and Aoi Tori (1997), where she honed a nuanced, naturalistic style that quickly earned the attention of directors seeking fresh talent.
