Tye Sheridan

Tye Kayle Sheridan, an American actor, was born on November 11, 1996. He gained fame for his roles as Ben Goudy in the horror comedy film Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse (2015), the young Scott Summers / Cyclops in the X-Men film series (2016–2019), and his starring role as Wade Watts in the science fiction film Ready Player One (2018). Sheridan appeared in Terrence Malick's experimental drama film The Tree of Life (2011) as his film debut. He secured his first leading role in Jeff Nichols's film Mud (2012). His other notable works include roles in the crime drama Joe (2013), the thriller The Stanford Prison Experiment (2015), and the dramas The Card Counter and The Tender Bar (both 2021). He was born in Palestine, Texas. His mother, Stephanie Sheridan, owns a beauty salon, and his father, Bryan Sheridan, is a driver for UPS. He also has a younger sister, Madison.

Sheridan started his film career with Terrence Malick's art film The Tree of Life (2011), co-starring Brad Pitt, Jessica Chastain, and Sean Penn. The film was awarded the Palme d'Or and nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. His role of Ellis in Jeff Nichols' Mud earned him a Critics' Choice Award nomination. In 2015, he starred in three films that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. He starred in X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) and reprised his role in Dark Phoenix (2019). In 2020, he starred in the crime drama The Night Clerk and survival thriller series Wireless. Later in 2021, he appeared in the sci-fi thriller Voyagers (2021), crime drama The Card Counter, and the coming-of-age movie The Tender Bar. In 2024, he joined the crime thriller film The Order.
