Tom Avni

Tom Avni (Hebrew: תום אבני) is a Israeli actor, TV host, director, and voice actor whose career spans over three decades. Born on April 20, 1986 in the desert city of Eilat, Israel, he grew up in a culturally diverse household—his father Nir Avni, a Lithuanian‑Jewish and Polish‑Jewish diver and co‑founder of Dolphin Reef, and his mother Ofra Bar Zion, an Algerian‑born dance teacher. From a remarkably young age he demonstrated a natural affinity for performance; at ten he starred as Mowgli in the musical The Jungle Book, sharing the stage with veteran performers Tuvia Tzafir and Hanoch Rosen. This early stage success was followed by a string of leading roles in popular Israeli productions such as King of Siam (2000), Tiny (2002), Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn (2003) and Aladdin (2004). By the time he was sixteen, he was already a presenter on Arutz HaYeladim, cementing his status as a versatile entertainer capable of engaging both child and adult audiences. His vocal talents shone when he provided the lead voice for the 2004 animated feature Peter Pan and later for Racing Stripes, showcasing his adaptability across media formats.
