Tahj Mowry

Tahj Dayton MowR y (born May 17, 1986 in Honolulu, Hawaii) is an American actor and singer whose career began at the tender age of four, making his first television appearance on the popular sitcom Full House as Teddy, the best friend of the famous Michelle Tanner. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in entertainment, he is the younger brother of twin actresses Tia and Tamera Mowry, and his parents, Darlene Renée Flowers and Timothy John Mowry, both served in the U.S. Army before transitioning to civilian careers; his father later worked as a custody officer in Glendale, California. Tahj's mixed heritage—British and Irish on his father’s side and Afro‑Bahamian on his mother’s—has contributed to his versatile appeal across diverse audiences. He attended several schools, including Birmingham High School where he played football, before transferring to Westlake High School in Thousand Oaks and briefly playing at Savannah State University and the University of Wyoming, ultimately earning a degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu. His breakout role arrived in 1997 when he was cast as T.J. Henderson, a child prodigy, on the hit sitcom Smart Guy, a performance that earned him a lasting fan base and a nod from Disney when he voiced ten‑year‑old Wade Load in Kim Possible. Beyond television, Tahj appeared in Disney Channel movies such as Hounded and The Poof Point, and took guest spots on shows like Star Trek: Voyager and Desperate Housewives. He continued to diversify his portfolio with roles in Are We Done Yet?, Seventeen Again, and the sitcom Baby Daddy as Tucker Dobbs, while also pursuing a music career that produced the single “Flink” and the EP Future Funk. In recent years, he reunited with the Muppets family for the Disney+ series The Muppets Mayhem. On a personal note, Tahj dated actress Naya Rivera from 2000 to 2004, maintaining a close friendship until her tragic passing in 2020. He remains active in both acting and music, celebrated for his charismatic presence and enduring contributions to the entertainment industry.
