Sigge Fürst, born Karl Sigurd Tore Fürst on 3 November 1905 in Stockholm, Sweden, was a multifaceted Swedish entertainer whose professional life stretched across five dynamic decades and left an indelible imprint on the nation’s cultural landscape. Originally trained as a policeman, he quickly discovered a passion for performance, making his cinematic debut in 1931 with The False Millionaire and rapidly becoming one of Sweden’s most prolific actors, accumulating credits in more than 130 films that ranged from light‑hearted comedies to serious dramas, thereby showcasing an extraordinary adaptability and a natural affinity for both leading and supporting roles.
