Shaggy 2 Dope

Joseph William Utsler, better known by his flamboyant stage name Shaggy 2 Dope, is an American rapper, producer, DJ, podcast host, professional wrestler and actor who rose to prominence as one half of the horrorcore duo Insane Clown Posse. Born on October 14, 1974 in Wayne, Michigan, he began his artistic career in 1989 when he and future partner Violent J formed the short‑lived group JJ Boyz before evolving into Inner City Posse and ultimately Insane Clown Posse in 1991. Over the next three decades Utsler has been continuously active (1989‑present), co‑founding Psychopathic Records and later the wrestling promotion Juggalo Championship Wrestling, where he also serves as color commentator. His solo discography includes the provocative EP Fuck Off! (1994), the full‑length F.T.F.O. (2006), the chart‑topping F.T.F.O.M.F. (2017) and the melancholic Gloomy Sunday EP (2019), demonstrating a willingness to blend shock humor with genuine musical experimentation. Beyond music, Shaggy 2 Dope has appeared in a variety of film and television projects such as Backstage Sluts (1998) and the cult favorite Death Racers (2008), often portraying exaggerated versions of his stage persona.
