Rosalind Eleazar

Rosalind Eleazar is a British stage and screen actress whose multicultural background and rigorous training have shaped a distinctive career. Born on 29 August 1988 in London to a British mother and a Ghanaian father, she was exposed early to a blend of cultures that informed her linguistic interests, leading her to study Chinese and Spanish at the University of Nottingham before committing to drama. She attended the renowned Gordonstoun School in Moray, Scotland, where her passion for performance blossomed, and subsequently honed her craft at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), graduating in 2015. Her academic journey, marked by a rare combination of language study and intensive acting training, provided a solid foundation for the nuanced characters she would later portray. In the years following her graduation, Eleazar quickly emerged as a dynamic presence in both theatre and television, earning critical acclaim for her versatility and depth. Her stage credentials include striking performances as Yelena in Uncle Vanya at the Harold Pinter Theatre, as well as roles in The Starry Messenger at Wyndham's Theatre, House of Bernarda Alba at the National Theatre, and Plaques and Tangles at the Royal Court, showcasing her ability to navigate classic and contemporary works alike. On screen, she broke through with the role of Agnes in Armando Iannucci’s 2019 film The Personal History of David Copperfield, and later captured audiences as Louisa Guy in the hit TV series Slow Horses, alongside notable appearances in Rellik, Howards End, Deep Water, NW, National Treasure and Harlots.
