Rooney Mara Phoenix (born Patricia Rooney Mara), is an established American actress known for her impactful performances in numerous films. She has been in the film industry since 2005 and continues to actively participate in the field. Born into the Rooney and Mara families, she began her career in television and independent films before she gained recognition for her role in 'The Social Network'. Mara had a career breakthrough when she starred as Lisbeth Salander in 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo', earning her an Academy Award nomination. Her career progressed further with leading roles in the thriller 'Side Effects', the science fiction romance 'Her', and the romantic drama 'Carol'. For her role in 'Carol', she won the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress and received another Academy Award nomination.
