Wright achieved notoriety from her breakout role as Kelly Capwell in the NBC Daytime soap opera 'Santa Barbara' from 1984 to 1988, before transitioning to film with significant roles in 'The Princess Bride' and 'Forrest Gump'. Over the years, she has delivered commendable performances in multiple independent films and has had supporting roles in popular films like 'Moneyball', 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo', 'Everest', 'Wonder Woman', and 'Blade Runner 2049'. On the small screen, Wright captivated audiences as Claire Underwood in the Netflix political drama series 'House of Cards', and directed ten episodes of the series as well as two episodes of the Netflix crime series 'Ozark' in 2022. Beyond acting, she's also ventured into directing with a short film and her feature film directorial debut in the film 'Land'. Wright will be starring in and producing Ben Young's thriller 'Where All Light Tends to Go', and will appear in the Netflix's fantasy film 'Damsel'.
