Rachel Susan Dratch is a highly praised American actress and comedian, born on February 22, 1966, in Lexington, Massachusetts. After graduating from Dartmouth College, she devoted herself to studying improvisational theatre at The Second City and ImprovOlympic in Chicago. Her big break came as a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live from 1999 to 2006, where she portrayed diverse characters including Debbie Downer. She occasionally returns to SNL, and in recent times portrayed Senator Amy Klobuchar.

Her list of television credits is extensive, including Portlandia, The King of Queens, Monk, and 30 Rock. She has also sustained the recurring role of Wanda Jo Oliver on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. Her filmography comprises Click (2006), I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (2007), Sisters (2015), and Wine Country (2019). Dratch made her Broadway stage debut in POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive in 2022, earning a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Play. She also authored an autobiographical book titled Girl Walks into a Bar…: Comedy Calamities, Dating Disasters, and a Midlife Miracle in 2012.
