Michael Angarano

Michael Anthony Angarano, born on December 3, 1987, is an acclaimed American actor, director, and producer. He became distinguished for his roles in the film 'Music of the Heart' (1999) and the TV series 'Cover Me' (2000–2001). He also played a recurring role as Elliott in the sitcom 'Will & Grace'. Since then he has starred in an array of films such as 'Sky High' (2005), 'The Forbidden Kingdom' (2008), and 'Gentlemen Broncos' (2009). His other notable appearances include 'Haywire' (2011), 'The English Teacher' (2013), 'Sun Dogs' (2017), and 'Oppenheimer' (2023). In addition to his film career, he has also made his mark on the small screen with shows like 'I'm Dying Up Here' (2017–2018) and 'This Is Us', earning a Primetime Emmy Award nomination in 2019. Angarano's early life was based in Brooklyn, New York City, born to Michael and Doreen Angarano. He is of Italian descent and his family owns a dance studio in California, where he graduated high school.

In the late 90s, he was a finalist for young Anakin Skywalker in 'Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace'. Not long after, he bagged a role in Cameron Crowe's 'Almost Famous' in 2000. Major film roles followed in 'Little Secrets', 'Maniac Magee', 'The Bondage', 'Black Irish', and 'Snow Angels' among others. For his role in 'The Forbidden Kingdom', he underwent intensive martial arts training in China with action choreographer Woo-Ping Yuen. On television, Angarano reprised his role as Elliott on 'Will & Grace' and made notable appearances in '24', 'The Knick', and 'I'm Dying Up Here'. Away from the screens, he has been in relationships with actresses Kristen Stewart and Juno Temple. He confirmed his relationship with American actress Maya Erskine in 2019, and they were engaged in November 2020. The couple has a son born in 2021 and were expecting a daughter as of April 2024.
