Maya Stojan

Maya Stojan, born on 28 June 1986, is a highly accomplished Swiss-born American actress. Known for her remarkable performance and recurring roles in popular series such as Tory Ellis on Castle and Kara Palamas on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Born and raised in Geneva, Switzerland, she owes her multicultural upbringing to her Czech father and Sri Lankan mother. Growing up in an international environment, at the International School of Geneva, she became proficient in English and French. Beyond her linguistic skills, she is passionate about golf and pursues Yoga and Transcendental Meditation. Stojan completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting at the esteemed Hartt School of Theatre and Music in West Hartford, Connecticut in 2008. Her acting journey truly began when she moved to Los Angeles where she took part in short films like Chasing Forever and I Kill To Live. Stojan further honed her acting skills by training under Donovan Scott, taking part in Carolyne Barry's workshops for actors, and graduating from the Master Class of 2011 at the prestigious Ivana Chubbuck Studio. Stojan has had a fruitful career with a supporting role in the US thriller Sinners and Saints, in addition to roles in short films, television series such as Entourage, and Criminal Minds. Since 2013, her most recognized role has been the recurring character Tory Ellis, an officer in the NYPD's Crime Scene Unit in the US crime series Castle. In her personal life, Stojan is married to former rugby player Todd Clever. The couple currently resides in Cardiff-by-the-sea, California.
