Maisa Silva

Maisa da Silva Andrade, known professionally as Maisa Silva, burst onto the Brazilian entertainment scene at the tender age of three when she appeared on Programa Raul Gil. Her early charisma led to a stint on RecordTV and Band, and by 2007 she had joined SBT, where she fronted Sábado Animado, Domingo Animado and Bom Dia & Cia, quickly becoming a household name. The young presenter’s fame skyrocketed with Pergunte a Maisa, a segment of Programa Silvio Santos, where she charmed audiences alongside Silvio Santos himself. In 2009 she released her debut studio album Tudo que Me Vem na Cabeça under Universal Music, delivering hits like “Tempo de Mudar” and “Pipoca Pula”. Transitioning to acting, Maisa portrayed Valéria Ferreira in the wildly popular telenovela Carrossel, later reprising the role in two feature films and starring in Carinha de Anjo as Juju Almeida. Her versatility shone through roles such as Cíntia Dorella in Cinderela Pop and the villainous Júlia in Ela Disse, Ele Disse. Beyond screen work, she authored several books—including Sinceramente Maisa and O Diário de Maisa—voiced Nina in the Brazilian dub of Ferdinand, and became one of Brazil’s most followed teenage influencers on Instagram and TikTok.

In 2020 Maisa announced her departure from SBT after a 13‑year tenure, citing new personal and professional horizons. She co‑founded the influencer‑marketing agency Mudah with partner Guilherme Oliveira, signaling her move into entrepreneurship. The following year she debuted in Netflix’s original series De Volta aos 15, playing the teenage version of protagonist Anita, a role that earned her a renewal for a second season. An outspoken feminist, Maisa frequently addresses gender equity in media, delivering speeches at major events such as the Ibirapuera Auditorium and the RD Summit. Despite her youth, she has amassed a multifaceted career as actress, presenter, singer, author, and businesswoman, solidifying her status as one of Brazil’s most dynamic cultural figures.
