Lorraine Krueger

Lorraine Krueger (February 27, 1918 – July 15, 2003) was an American actress whose career spanned the golden age of Hollywood during the late 1930s and early 1940s. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she entered the film industry at a young age, securing her first credited role in the 1937 musical revue New Faces of 1937. Over the next decade she appeared in a prolific series of pictures, ranging from light‑hearted comedies such as Everybody's Doing It and I'm From the City to more adventurous fare like Exposed (1938) and Idiot's Delight. Krueger’s versatility allowed her to play both supporting characters and occasional leads, and she became known for her bright screen presence and ability to deliver witty dialogue with effortless charm. Among her notable performances were roles in The Farmer's Daughter, the boxing‑themed Golden Gloves, and the vibrant dance musical Dance, Girl, Dance, each showcasing her adaptability across genres.
