Àlex Monner, born Alejandro Monner Zubizarreta on 27 January 1995 in Barcelona, Spain, emerged as one of the most compelling young talents in contemporary Spanish cinema and television. From his earliest appearance in Pau Freixa’s debut film Herois, he demonstrated a natural affinity for emotionally resonant characters, quickly capturing the attention of critics and audiences alike. His breakthrough arrived with the Catalan television series Polseres vermelles, where he portrayed Lleó, a courageous teenager confronting the loss of a leg to cancer; this role not only showcased his nuanced performance style but also earned him the prestigious Gaudí Award for Best Revelation Actor in 2013.
