Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, known professionally as Lady Gaga, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She is recognized for her courageous contributions and versatility in the entertainment industry, showing a mastery of image reinventions across mainstream culture. A powerhouse in popular music, she is an influential figure consistently acknowledged as a pop icon. Gaga registered remarkable success, after signing with Interscope Records, with her debut 2008 album, 'The Fame' and follow-up 'The Fame Monster' which produced several popular singles that remain iconic to this day. Her ability to not apply limits to her creativity and experimentations across music genres has been a beacon and a part of every one of the albums she has created. Coupled with music, Gaga has also capitalized on her larger-than-life capability to act, bagging awards in major productions like the miniseries American Horror Story: Hotel and the musical film A Star Is Born. Extensively recognized for her achievements, Gaga has received two Golden Globe Awards, an Academy Award, and 13 Grammy Awards. She has her own non-profit foundation, the Born This Way Foundation, which aims to uplift the mental and emotional wellbeing of young people.
