Katsunosuke Hori

Katsunosuke Hori (born August 1, 1941) is a veteran Japanese actor, voice actor, and narrator whose career spans more than six decades. He began his professional journey in 1959 with a role in the film Lucky Dragon No. 5, quickly establishing himself as a versatile performer in both live‑action and animated productions. Over the years he has become renowned for his distinctive baritone voice, which has been used to dub a long roster of Hollywood stars such as Harvey Keitel, Robert De Niro, Jon Voight, and Charles Dance, making him an indispensable figure in Japanese dubbing. Hori was also the first Japanese voice for Alain Delon and Harrison Ford during the early phases of their international fame, cementing his legacy as a bridge between Eastern and Western cinema.
