Kate Bosworth

Katherine Anne Bosworth, better known as Kate Bosworth, is an accomplished American actress. Born on January 2, 1983, in Los Angeles, she started her acting career in 1997 with minor roles in films like The Horse Whisperer and Remember the Titans. Bosworth had her breakout role in the 2002 movie Blue Crush. She continued her success with roles in independent films such as Wonderland, where she played Dawn Schiller, and Beyond the Sea, where she played Sandra Dee. Bosworth played Lois Lane in Superman Returns and starred in more films such as 21, Straw Dogs, And While We Were Here, and Still Alice. She also ventured into the horror genre with Before I Wake and The Domestics. Most recently, she starred as KC in the Netflix miniseries The I-Land.

During her early years, Bosworth lived in LA and San Francisco. Her interests extended beyond acting into equestrian sports, especially stadium jumping. By 14, she was a champion equestrian. Bosworth attended Cohasset High School in Massachusetts, graduating in 2001. Despite a thriving career, she also focused on her educational pursuits, having been accepted to Princeton University. However, she had to defer the opportunity due to her acting commitments. As a Buddhist, Bosworth practices meditation and enjoys Pilates. She was also in a relationship with actor Orlando Bloom from 2002 to 2005. Bosworth later married director Michael Polish in 2013, becoming a stepmother to Polish's daughter Jasper; they divorced in 2023. Her current spouse is actor Justin Long.
