Raised in suburban Rosemont, Cooke discovered his passion for performance at Harriton High School, where he joined the Harriton Theater Company and even directed a production in his senior year, earning the James Pendleton Foundation Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Performance and the Judith & Milton R. Stark Scholarship. He continued honing his craft at the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating in 2004 with a theater major, a foundation that would propel him into a versatile professional life. In 2005, Cooke landed his first major television breakthrough as Nate Solomon in NBC’s sitcom Committed, followed by roles in short‑lived series such as Four Kings and Big Day. He built a robust résumé with guest spots on popular shows like Without a Trace, Century City, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and the Joss Whedon‑produced Dollhouse. Notable recurring parts include Dan Stonewater on the series finale of Scrubs, Rabbi Feldman on The King of Queens, and Ben Coles on the sitcom Better with You. He later appeared as Joel Stevens in Hart of Dixie, a college professor in The Middle, and took on memorable guest roles in Younger, Young Sheldon, Grace and Frankie, and Castle Rock. Cooke’s film work ranges from the indie comedy Wasted (2006) to the romantic comedy Snowglobe, a cameo in I Love You, Man, and a lead role in the horror sequel Quarantine 2: Terminal. He also starred in the ensemble comedy Group Sex (2010) and the direct‑to‑DVD Bachelor Party 2: The Last Temptation. On stage, he joined the La Jolla Playhouse production of Ayad Akhtar’s Junk: The Golden Age of Debt in 2016, showcasing his theatrical depth. Extending his creative pursuits, Cooke released his debut album fō under the moniker “fō” in 2015, demonstrating a musical side to his artistic expression. He has been married to Eleisha Eagle since April 2011, and while the couple keeps their family life private, Cooke continues to be an active and adaptable presence in the entertainment industry.
