Joe Sugg

Joseph Graham Sugg, known professionally as Joe Sugg, is an English YouTuber, presenter, actor, singer and author who first gained prominence in December 2011 when he launched his flagship channel “ThatcherJoe”. Over the ensuing years he built a massive online following with prank videos, impressions and challenge formats, most notably popularising the Whisper Challenge in 2014. By 2015 his main channel had surpassed eight million subscribers and his vlogging and gaming off‑shoots added millions more, cementing his status as one of the United Kingdom’s most influential digital creators. Beyond YouTube, Sugg expanded into television and stage, becoming the first social‑media star to compete on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, where he and partner Dianne Buswell finished as runners‑up. His television résumé grew with co‑hosting duties on BBC One’s New Year Live, The One Show and the Red Nose Day telethon, while his voice work includes roles in the UK versions of Wonder Park and A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon. In 2019 he made his West End debut as Ogie Anhorn in the musical Waitress, showcasing his singing talent alongside his on‑screen presence. Sugg has also authored the graphic novel series Username: Evie and the memoir‑style guide Grow, reflecting his versatility across media. A founding partner of the talent management firm MVE and his own production company Final Straw Productions, he continues to shape the digital entertainment landscape while serving as an ambassador for Age UK. As of September 2025, Sugg and Buswell announced they are expecting their first child, marking a new personal milestone for the celebrated internet star.
