By the early 1960s he transitioned into film and television, leveraging his theatrical training to deliver nuanced characters on screen, while simultaneously building a reputation as one of the most reliable dubbing artists in France. His ability to adapt his tone, from the solemn gravitas of historical epics to the whimsical cadence of children’s cartoons, made him a sought‑after voice for both domestic productions and the French versions of foreign works. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Topart became a household name through his work on landmark animation series such as Fantastic Planet (1973), Ulysses 31 (1981), and The Mysterious Cities of Gold (1982), where his narration anchored the imaginative worlds for countless viewers.
