Jackson Rathbone

Monroe Jackson Rathbone V, professionally known as Jackson Rathbone, born December 14, 1984, is an American actor, singer, and musician. He gained fame for his portrayal of Jasper Hale in the globally renowned Twilight Saga film series. Between 2008 and 2012, he showcased his musical talent as the vocalist and occasional instrumentalist for the funk rock band, 100 Monkeys. Born to American parents, Rathbone was raised in Singapore, Norway, and Indonesia before his family finally settled in Midland, Texas due to his father's job at Mobil Oil. Rathbone's passion for performing arts became evident in high school where he was a regular in local theater productions. Afterward, he moved to Los Angeles in search of acting opportunities.

He started his career in Los Angeles with small gigs on Disney 411 and guest roles on The O.C. and Close to Home. His breakthrough came in 2005 when he landed the role of Nicholas Fiske on ABC Family's original series, Beautiful People. His defining career moment was his role in the Twilight film series which started in 2008. Beyond acting, Rathbone is also a talented musician, having performed with his high school friends in a funk band called 100 Monkeys. He has demonstrated his versatility by playing guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, mandolin, and trumpet. Off-screen, Rathbone is actively involved in charity work and serves as an honorary board member for Little Kids Rock, a national nonprofit organization working to revitalize music education in disadvantaged U.S. public schools.
