Gerald G. Bamman, born on September 18, 1941, in Independence, Kansas, is an esteemed American actor and playwright best known for his portrayal of Uncle Frank in the iconic movies Home Alone (1990) and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992). He also guest-starred in several television series enriching his acting portfolio. His parents are Mary M. (née Farrell) and Harry W. Bamman and he enriched his craft by studying at St. Francis de Sales School and graduating from New York University with an MFA degree. His personal life is intertwined with that of director Emily Mann whom he married on August 12, 1981, but is now divorced from. They have one son, Nicholas, born in 1983. Beyond his renowned Home Alone roles, Bamman extended his acting talent in the Michael J. Fox film The Secret of My Success (1987) and appeared alongside Fran Brill and Alyssa Milano in Old Enough (1984). His ability for improvisation shone through in the infamous shower scene in Home Alone 2. Other notable appearances include playing defense attorney Stan Gillum in the series Law & Order and as Dr.Judalon in the 1992 film Lorenzo's Oil.
